Buckeyes Story
Some people called him Mac.Some called nim Doc.
While growing up in the little town of Jersey,
they called him Cecil. His name was
Dr. William C. McGarity.
We simply called him Dad.
After graduating from Jersey High School,he went on to
become a Surgen and Teacher at Emory University Hospital.
There he was known to his students and patients as a man who
always had a Buckeye ready to give someone in need. Whether it
was a patient about to go into surgery who needed comfort, or a
student who needed encouragement.
With all these responsibilities, he still took pride and enjoyment in
in returning to his roots to visit his home town of Jersey, where he
spent time with his Family.
His joy of hunting and visiting his favorite Buckeye tree is the memory that his Grandchildren remember the most.
We miss him deeply and when we open our doors to Buckeyes, we smile and remember the man who brought much comfort and love to us all!
